hi mehdi,
I have the same laptop which I bought almost 8 years ago. At the time I bought it i just wanted partitions so I did the partitions so I did it(you dont need the cd)

1..externally without booting into OS…..But you will have to be very carefull not to delete the 10GB recovery partition provided by acer.

2.after creating the partitions enable “disk to disk recovery” option in bios again boot the computer and press and hold ALT+F10

3.You will get to the windows installation ( of course you will loose all the data )

4.select the partion c to load the windows and continue with the process

you will be done with your partitions…

as soon the windows boots for the first time it will prompt you to create two recovery disks at which time you should enter two blank disks and it will make you 1.drivers disk and 2.OS disk
preserve these two for any future uses…….

hi I brought ACER ASPIRE 5738G one month back. it is doing good and I use it for study and communication purpose.
my laptop has only one partition, I want to have at least 4 partition.with the partition magic I cant change it. there is no OS CD for changing my windows is another my problem.

Hi friends i m in confusion of purchasing laptop between acer 5738g n dell inspiron 15 with windows7 os both coast RS.40,000 with above confg. but acer provides 512 mb ati raedon graphics card….but by the name here in karnataka most of them go for dell….so plz suggest which one should i choose.
