earlier there were rumours that tablet Aakash was being developed by a group of IIT and IISC engineers. Now all claims seems falling apart. Actually it is Datawind which will be manufacturing these tablet PCs. Now it will be interesting to check who is the owner of this company!!!
This is unquestionably a commendable effort for e-empowering the entire nation. With all the basic features like wi-fi connectivity, cloud storage, expandable memory and two USB ports, the $35 tablet is here to make a difference and more importantly address the needs of students across the length and breadth of India.
Is it available in open market? Can I access GPRS Service on this tablet? Price is the best but I doubt the Performance!
