HP has released its three new netbooks:the HP Mini 1000 ,HP Mini 1000 MIE,and the HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam. All three will feature:

• Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
• Intel 945GM Motherboard chipset
• Up to 1GB DDR2 RAM
• 60GB mechanical hard disk or 8GB/16GB SSD
• 8.9-inch or 10-inch(only Vivienne Tam Edition) BrightView display(1024×600)
• 1 RJ-45 Ethernet port 10/100/1000 mbps
• Intel GMA 950 integrated Graphics card
• 2 USB ports
• Bluetooth
• Wi-Fi LAN support 802.11b/g
• Windows XP Home or Linux
• Weight 1.31 kg
• 3-cell battery with 3 hour life

The HP Mini 1000 MIE will come with MIE (Mobile Internet Experience) Linux OS whereas the other two will have Windows XP Home O.S.Mobile Internet Experience (MIE) Linux is a proprietary OS built by customizing the Ubuntu Linux.

The MIE model supports an Instant-On feature and and has pre-installed applications for internet browsing, IM ,e-mail ,and Skype .

Price and Availability:These Netbooks are expected to be available within couple of months at a price range of Rs.22,000 (MIE) – Rs. 35,000 ( Vivienne Tam).
