idea net claiming false speed, getting a speed of max 7 to kbps, better go for other providers, they tellign speed of 236kbps, if i get 36kbps i will be happy. any one getting 36 kbps , dowloading speed max 7 kbps, what to do pls reply

hi all i am joy and a user of idea net setter who is claiming to provide 236.8 kbps speed but actually not sending that much .
i want to change this one but the modem costs arround 2000.
so any one can suggest me hw to unlock the idea modem and can use sim of any other network?

Atul can u tell me whethere 3G services can be used from unlocked netsetter(EG162G)? cos i was told tat it wont support 3G as it is only a EDGE device

plz unlock ur netsetter and use bsnl 2g or 3g plan it is better.
i am using bsnl 2g in net setter.
first u down load unlock calculator then unlock ur modem and enjoy any sim in ur modem

You are very lucky you got 50Kbps … I get a max of 10 KBps … Presently the Idea Netsetter is in my Garbage Box
i m student of bca and my name is vijay i want to suggest everyone never purchase idea netsetter bcz its totaly fraud with all the customers,, they said to the customers i will offer u gd speed but that is lie. they gives speed on net setter is maximum 50 kbps. so plz dont purchase it ..otherwise u will weep so now the next step is your.
