The new Nikon D5100 is a 16.2 mega-pixel DSLR Camera supporting Full HD video recording . It is the successor of the12.3MP Nikon D5000 DSLR camera and the affordable price 16.2MP DSLR option of the Nikon D7000 .It is also the higher pixels version of the entry level DSLR Nikon D3100 . It sports a 3-inch vari-angle LCD screen which can rotate 180 degrees horizontally and vertically. It is neither for beginners nor for the professional photographers , it is for the enthusiastic point-and -shoot camera photographers who will not mind understanding the DSLR camera functions to capture excellent quality photographs .
